And it Starts Anew

Happy New Year! I hope all of you are safe and had a great time last night. We watched War of the Worlds. That was scarier than I thought it would be! We ate shrimp dinner and had fun with our boys. Later, Jeff and I read scary books. It's kind of our tradition. He started a new Stephen King one and I started "Murder on Clam Pond." We are so exciting!

Today, we all slept till 10:30am. We were astounded the day was half gone. We decided to watch Gremlins--and that was also scarier than I thought it would be. It's really graphic. The kids loved it!

I took a long bike ride with Benjamin. It was refreshing and very cold. He is so funny and clever. I don't know where he gets half the stuff he comes up with. I love being the only girl in the house, but the other morning, I said something like, "I am surrounded by waaaay to much testosterone!" And Ben says, "You mean testicles?" Yep. That's exactly what I mean!

Yay for scary movies! We spent the evening laughing hysterically with my family & some friends & checking out my sis's scary neighbor! Lessons learned: mean people often quote Bible verses or talk about God, tipsy people should not sit on stools, and Shannon is a strange, wacky, creatively dressed guy!

Hey! He wasn't tipsy when he fell off the stool! The stool had a detachable cushion. Other lessons learned: T is too friendly to scary neighbors!
